Classical Lebanon (5 days / 4 nights)


DAY 01: ARRIVAL TO BEIRUT

Arrival to Beirut international airport, meet and assist. Transfer to the hotel for dinner and overnight.


DAY 02: BEIRUT - HARISSA - BYBLOS

Breakfast. Drive to the village of Harissa, where you will visit the "Lady of Lebanon" cathedral and enjoy the superb view of the Mediterranean with Beirut's and Jounieh's Bays. Drive to Byblos (Jbeil) where you will visit the Crusaders' castle, the Phoenician temples, the Roman theater, and the Royal Necropolis. Then enjoy a lovely promenade on the coast next to the port. Dinner and overnight in Beirut.


DAY 03: BAALBECK - KSARA - ANJAR

Breakfast. Depart to Baalbeck, on the way you will notice the magnificent Beqaa plain. Once in Baalbeck, you will see the most colossal monuments ever to be found from the Romans period, the Temple of Jupiter with its sumptuous columns, the richly decorated Temple of Bacchus and the original pentagonal Temple of Venus.

The Beqaa Valley invites you to the heart of the most beautiful vine growing areas in the World. Cold and snowy winters, dry and hot summers, cool nights and misty mornings, are all ideal conditions for getting vintages that produce exceptional wines. Grapes varieties include syrah, merlot, cabarnet-sauvignon, morverdre, carignan, and many others.

You will first visit Ksara, in the heart of the Beqaa, where more than 5 vineyards produce exquisite wine and arak. Then continue the tour to Anjar, the unique fortified city in Lebanon built as early as the 8th century by the Umayyad Caliph of Damascus. It is known to be "The Palace of the desert". Dinner and overnight in Beirut.


DAY 04: BEIRUT - TRIPOLI - THE CEDARS - BEIRUT

Breakfast. Drive to Tripoli, the second largest city of Lebanon, a modern city known to have preserved jealously its medieval old religious edifices and public buildings. In the old town you can see the Crusader Castle of Raymond de St. Gilles, Mosques from Mameluks period, Quranic schools, oriental Bazaars & Souqs and the Turkish bath named "Hammam Izzeddine".

Transfer to The Cedars; known for its beautiful pine trees forest from Biblical times lying at an altitude of 1600 to 2000 meters above the sea level. The Cedars area is also known for its winter skiing resort. The road to the Cedars passes through the magnificent Qadisha Valley, the picturesque villages of Zghorta and Ehden leading you to Bsharre the hometown of the famous international poet Jubran Khalil Jubran of Lebanese origin. Dinner and overnight in Beirut.


DAY 05: DEPARTURE

Breakfast. Transfer to Beirut International Airport for departure.
